Paintings        Notecards        Prints        Lessons         Workshops        Books

All of our watercolor paintings are original, painted here in our studio by Joanne C. Resch. We mat and frame them ourselves.  Quality materials are used throughout the process. Each framed painting comes to you ready-to-hang. Unframed, matted paintings are designed to fit into standard size frames. We also provide custom matting and framing for any of our unframed works of art. When you buy a painting from us, it's original and unique through and through. The paintings below are a sampling of Joanne's larger portfolio of artwork. If you are looking for something specific, contact us. We are open to endless possibilities.

Our notecards are printed from original paintings by Joanne C. Resch. These 5" x 7" , 60 lb.,cards are made from pure alpha cellulose, and are acid and lignin free. They have a subtle linen finish which gives a slight texture to the card.  Such high quality material assures not only a vibrant image, but soft textures giving the appearance of an original painting. Each card has the image printed on the front with a blank interior for your own message. The title of the work, year it was painted, and artist name is printed on the back. Each notecard is sold for $4.00, comes with an envelop and is packaged in an acetate sleeve.

With over 275 cards available, we've categorized the cards according to season as well as specific subject matter. Click on the category of your choice to view the notecards in that area.

Our prints are as close to originals as you can get. Printed on acid and lignin free 100% cotton rag stock that is 64lb. weight (250gsm) and 13.5 mil thick. We use an 8 color ink printer that injects the ink into the paper. Each giclee print has the look and feel of an original watercolor painting. It comes mounted in an acid free cream color mat that has a beveled inner edge, foam core backing and is stored in a acetate sleeve.

~ Adults and youth are invited to experience watercolor painting on a beginner or intermediate level through private lessons with artist, Joanne C. Resch, in her studio. Explore the fundamental techniques of this medium via one-on-one instruction, hands-on exercises and demonstrations.

Learn about:

  • Color

  • Composition

  • Balance

  • Perspective

.......... and much more as you journey through the art of watercolor painting with your instructor. In so doing, see the world in a different way as you develop your own unique style. Use these lessons as an opportunity to let your creative spirit soar!

A Word From The Artist:

"Your creative spirit is worth the discovery! It’s not about " the right way" or what "it should look like"….it’s about taking the time to see and experience the simple wonder that surrounds you and allowing that spirit to guide your expression….over an over and over again. Much of watercolor painting is learned by doing, trying, experimenting, and not being afraid of making "mistakes". So-called "mistakes" in watercolor only shed new light and guide you in another direction as you work, therefore nourishing the development of your own style. In watercolor painting IT’S OKAY TO LET YOURSELF GO in order to gain control as you journey with this medium. Free yourself of pre-conceived notions with regard to your level of skill/talent/knowledge and begin, either for the first time or once again…gentle yet creatively motivated instruction is here to encourage and fuel your own creative spirit!" ~ Joanne C. Resch

Fee:    $18 per hour if student has their own supplies              $20 per hour including supplies

In One Breath Watercolor Workshop at Glimmerglass State Park

DESCRIPTION: Relax and release stress as you experience your creative spirit through the use of traditional watercolor techniques as they blend with the philosophy of Chinese Brush painting.

Each session will begin with a time of tranquil preparation as the participants quiet their mind so as to allow the watercolor paints to flow with each brushstroke. Before the participants begin their own pieces, Joanne will give a demonstration reflecting the season.

A variety of subject matter will be used as inspiration for the several paintings students will be amazed to have completed! Individual attention and guidance will be available to all. No watercolor painting experience is necessary.

In One Breath painting is a holistic approach to healing of mind, body and spirit by discovering and being present to one’s creative self. Participants will have an opportunity to slow their pace so as to focus solely on and “see” their inspirations in a different way. Through various breathing and painting exercises, complimented by time spent in observation and in thought, individuals will be able to rest, relax, and cleanse themselves, therefore painting with fresh fluidity striving to capture the essence of the subject, making visible the invisible, with simple brushstrokes…in one breath ~
